SSS36 and Stamp Something Challenge

This is my card for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. The stamp I used is from Lockhart Stamp Company. It is colored with copic markers. I used flower soft on the flowers. The Thank you is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry.
This card also works for the challenge at Stamp Something.
The challenge there was to use something new. I just bought this beautiful window stamp at a local stamp store. I know when you are addicted to this craft you can't always pay full price for things, but I strongly encourage you to support your local stamp stores some if possible.

One Last Holiday Card

I am not quite ready to put my holiday stamps away. Actually I didn't get some of my Christmas cards out and am sending out several New Years stamps. The stamps I used are from Firecracker Designs by Pamela. I won this set on a blog hop and just love this snowman. It is excellent quality and very deeply etched. It stamps beautifully.

KSCC #20

The challenge at Kitchen Sink Stamps was to do a tag. I just got some of these stamps. I tried the cats and the dog. first. The multi-layering takes a bit of practice, but the outcome is fantastic. I need to do some experimenting with colors and ink pads.

MMSC33

Boy Christmas is sneaking up fast. This is my card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. I am not really pleased with the coloring of the picture, but have tried several times and this is the closest. I just wish the picture could actually do the cards justice sometimes. The stamp used is from Paper Inspirations. I must really like this punch, because it has really seen a lot of action lately. Thanks so much for looking. Have a great holiday.

Artistic Outpost

This is the first post that I have done in a while that is not a sketch challenge. This card has two techniques from recent Technique Junkies newsletters. It uses the Herringbone ( Dec.- Jan) and Sepia (oct/nov). The stamps are from Artistic Outpost.

MMSC32

Finally got my card done for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The manger stamp is from Serendipity and I don't know the company that makes the star. All is says is Chritmas Button Cube. I colored the manger scene with copic markers. I used Diamond Glaze on the middle of the star so that it looked like a button. Also highlighted the edge of the star with blue to bring in blue theme.

C4C CHALLENGE WEEK 15

This card is for several challenges. The first is a color challenge in my Just Cards Yahoo group. The colors were to be Emerald, Drk Blue, Saffron, Misty Rose and Magnolia. You have to use three of these and it had to be a Christmas Theme. I think I got all the colors in. The second challenge was Crazy 4 Challenges and the theme was snowmen/ snow. The snowman stamp is from Serendipty. I love all the detail on the snowman. I used copic markers on some of the image and colored pencils on other parts. The background is Antique Glimmer from Technique Junkies.

MMSC31 and stamp something

Here is my card the the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. We were not only to follow the sketch, but the theme had to be Winter Wonderland. The stamp I used is older one from Stampin' Up. I colored the image with colored pencils. I also did a lot of highlighting with glitter glue and used some paint that was supposed to look like snow.
This card also fits the challenge at Stamp SomethingThe theme there is also Winter Wonderland Something.

C4C13

I made this card for several challenges. One is for my Yahoo Just Cards group. It was a color challenge. The colors were Sea Green, Chestnut, Forest Green, Scarlet, an Orchid. I used the Sea Green, Forest Green and Scarlet. The second challenge was Crazy For Challenges. The challenge was to use punches. The snowflake is from Martha Stewart and the border punch has no name on it. The Pattern is Marta and it does borders and 4 other shapes. The cute snowman stamp is from Fire Cracker Designs by Pamela. This stamp is so cute. I won this set on the blog hop several weeks ago. I didn't have any stamps from this company, but was very impressed with the deep etching and quality. It stamped beautifully.

Mojo Monday week 115

The is my card for the Mojo Monday week 115 challenge. Cabin stamp is from Inkadinkado, and Christmas Blessing if from outlines. The image is stamped with blue Momento. I used the color outside the lines technique from Technique Junkies around the cabin. MMSC30

Here is my card for the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. The stamp is a really old one from PSX. This challenge was a little tricky because not only did you need to follow the sketch, but it also had to have something on it that could fly.

I also want to remind you that Midnight Madness is having a blog hop December 8 -15. I have a picture in the side bar that will take you there. One of my Christmas Cards is going to be on Jane's blog during the blog hop, so be sure and visit.

MMSC29

This is my card for the challenge for Midnight Madness. All the Stamps are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. Everything on this card is stamped. I made the background paper using chalks. The stamping around the JOY is done with peg stamps. The cool thing about these is that each little stamp is an individual stamp, so you can get some awsome color and you can place it exactly where you want it. The stitch look came from Technique Junkies and is called drywall stitching. The stones were made from clear stones and alcohol ink. Also glitter was added to JOY and random glitter was added to flowers and holly with stickles.
So many of the cards in the challenges are so embellished. They are absolutely beautiful, but the best I can say is that is just not my style.

Card Patterns Sketch 42

This card is actually for two things. The first is for a color challenge on my Just cards Yahoo group. The colors to be used were eggplant, goldenrod, Bronze, maroon and Chartreuse. I used the Eggplant, goldenrod and bronze. The second is for the Card Patterns Sketch Challenge. The stamps used are all from a Close to My Heart set called Welcome Home. I love this set because all the pieces are individual and it even has a clock for the mantle and other pieces for a scene. Happy Holidays is from Hot Off The Press.

MMSC #28 and SSHP08

This is my entry for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week. It was to be a Christmas Card. The stamps I used are from Inkadinkado and Posh Impressions. The flower is colored with copic markers. The punch is from Martha Stewart. The ornament is actually two pieces. The Posh Impressions stamp is a blank ornament. I then stamped the flower and punched it out and applied it to the ornament with a pop dot.
I was looking at all the challenges I watch and Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential wants cards with ornaments on them. This should fit.

Mojo Monday week 111

I needed a wedding card for a friend so I decided to use the sketch from Mojo Monday. I used the burnished background from Technique Junkies again. The stamp is from Paper Inspirations. I have had this stamp for a long while, so I doubt it is still available. I tied the ribbon onto the card and then tied several more pieces of ribbon around the first knot.

MMSC #26

This is my entry for the Midnight Maddness Sketch Challenge. The stamp is from Hot Off the Press. The embossing powder is from PK Glitz. I love this powder because it is like a mixture of colors in one bottle. Of course the picture doesn't do it justice. The background is the Technique Junkies Burnished Background Technique.

Sketch Saturday Sketch #75

This is my take on the Sketch Saturday Sketch this week. I also needed a card for my Yahoo group that had the colors baby blue, pink, Burnt sienna, ultramarine and red. The card is baby blue. The stamp image and layer is burnt sienna, the background is ultramarine (I thought this would be lighter , but the chart showed this as dark blue. The flowers are two step from Stampin' up and are pink with red highlight. I cut out all the flowers so it is dimensional.

Sketch Saturday #74,Artful Sentiments Challenge #31

Let's see how many things one card can do. I need a baby card for a girl at work. I also used a sketch from Sketch Saturday for the design and the colors came from Artful Sentiments Challenge 31. The colors used are not exact because I did not have them all. I used y26, E37, E09, and E55. I like the challenge of the copics, but still keeping the images rather small and simple. The stamps are from a Stampendous set called Changito Sport. The cool thing about this set is the monkey is moldable. You can position his arms and legs. Also there are multiple sport things with it like a bowling ball, bowling pin, baseball and bat, golf ball and club, soccer, volleyball, basketball. You can do so much with this set and evidently monkeys are very popular right now.

MMSC24 AND COPIC CHALLENGE

I did this card for two challenges. It is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and the Artful Sentiments by Kimm Copic Challenge. Last week we went to Memphis and took a copic class with Kimm Bennington-Thompson. Kimm is on the design team for Technique Junkies.. She is an awsome teacher. This stamp is from Uptown Designs. The colors in the copic challenge reminded me of a pansy so that is how I did my card. I am taking my mom and dad to Memphis again this weekend . Kimm is teaching another class on using copic markers on faces. I think copic coloring takes a lot of practice.
