I work one weekend a month at a local stamp store.  Just got done working the weekend.  She wanted some Halloween cards for the shop.  The is one that I made using the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  The spider and the web is embossed.  I used distress ink around the words.

Stampin Daisies Sketch Challenge #1

The sketch for this card came from a new sketch challenge site called Stampin Daisies.  I tend to always to back to a few challenges and I was sort of excited about finding a new one that is just starting.  I made the background paper for this card with a create a card background from impression obsession.  I love making my own paper because I can have any color scheme that I want.  I stamped the same pattern on pink paper for the accent on the side. I colored the roses with Prisma colored pencils.

Make it Monday #51

Just found a new challenge site to try.  It is called Make it Monday.  There was not really a sketch to follow, just post a card you made.  The card I picked is one I made for one of my Yahoo swaps last month. I think the theme was polka dots.   I had just taken a Karen Lockhart class with Prisma colored pencils, so I was practicing.  I love this little cup of flowers.  Also it is the perfect size, because you can practice your technique without getting too involved.

Stamp Royalty #85

The sketch for this card came from Stamp Royalty.  All the paper used is from Paper  Temptress.  Let me tell you about some of the paper used.  The dark green has a wonderful texture and is called Greenbrier Grandee Felt.  The bird image (Crafty Individuals) is embossed with pearl on Velvet Touch Cream.  This paper took the distress ink well.  At first when I put the color down you could sort of see my fingerprints in it, but I buffed it with a paper towel and it really smoothed the colors together beautifully.  The brown accent is Canyon Brown Skinny Column.  The ribbon is called 1/2 swares and stitches ribbon in antique gold/ olive.  I also edged the brown with gold for some added accent.

MMSC #117

Still practicing with colored pencils.  The image here is from Just Rite.  Added a little glitter to the middle of the flowers.  In the background I made some score lines and did some highlighting with distress inks.  The design for this card came from the weekly challenge at Midnight Madness.

MMSC #115

Here is my card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week.  I am still practicing my coloring.  This stamp is from Viva Los Vegastamps.  I just thought it was so cute and I already had the saying.  I am not one to put red and pink together, but it just seemed to fit.

MMSC #114

I recently took a Karen Lockhart class at a local stamp store.  She said practice, practice, practice.  The sketch for this card came from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I guess anyone can figure that I colored the image with colored pencils.  The beautiful flower stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.
