Party Time Tuesday #131

This is a card I made recently that uses embossing powder.  The background is made by laying a piece of lace on sticky paper and applying a glitter embossing powder of a darker color and then removing the lace and applying another color of embossing glitter.  I embossed the whole piece after the second embossing glitter went on.  The main image is then embossed on the white cardstock.  Thought this would be perfect for anything goes at Party Time Tuesday.

MIM #151

I have been a little lax at posting cards to my blog.  Part of the reason is that I was on the design team at Stamper's Quest.  This was an online magazine for stampers.  Well it seems they are not going to keep publishing anymore so I will be bringing my cards back to my own blog.
This is a trifold card that I made a little while ago.  I just love this look.  I am not really one to use designer paper, but it worked great for this project.  If you have never tried one of these you really should.  They are not that difficult to make.  I am going to enter this in the Make it Monday challenge this week.

Totally Gorjuss #191

The challenge at Totally Gorjuss this week was to make a card with circles.  I have been seeing so many cards online putting a sun in the background and was just dying to try it.  I punched a circle out of a scrap piece of paper and then used a stipple brush to apply the color.  The stamp set is an old one fro Stampin' Up called Branch Out.  This was a set I just had to have a while back because I had seen a card made with it.  It is a really cool set because you can add little things to the tree.  I also added some clear highlight to the tire with a clear gel pen to make it stand out a little.  This is a very simple card , but I was pleased with the look and I used a set I had never used before.

Make it Monday #148

Here is a thank you card I made for a girl at work recently.  There is not a lot of stamping, most of the card is dies or punches.  I just love these little tulip flowers.  They are make from a 5 petal flower punch.  You cut out two of the petals from the cut out.  After you cut out your two petals your piece should look like a Y.  The the bottom petal is folded up.  It also helps to put a tiny piece of foam tape under the petal you are folding up to give it some dimension. Thought this would be perfect for Make it Monday.
