MMSC 51 and GC51- Botanical

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for this card. It also fits for the challenge at Gingersnap Creations where the theme was botanical. The flower stamp is from Great Impressions, and I don't know the company that the flourish in the corner came from. The small sentiment is from Hero Arts. I used a technique I saw recently where you stamp the image in a light color and then slightly move over and stamp in a dark color. It really gives the image some dimension.

SAH119-10 minute challenge

This is the card I made for the SAH Challenge. There was a sketch and then it was supposed to be 10 minutes to make. I stamped white stars in the background and highlighted it with blue. The flages were stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear and then sponged with blue. The piece at the top was punched with a border punch and the sponged blue and the ribbon attached.

Stamp Royalty #16

I did this card for the Stamp Royalty Challenge. The stamps are from Stampin' Up. I stamped the star is white on the red and used a sponge with blue around the edges. The image is sponged with red around the edges. The bow is one piece that reaches to the edges with a knot tied in it. Before you pull the knot tight you slide another small piece of ribbon through it. This technique was in the April 2010 issue of VSN. I love this bow because it lays so nicely.

The sketch for this card came from Crazy 4 Challenges. I am still on my mission of doing red, white and blue for a friend at work whose son's unit is coming home from Afghanastan. The stamps on the card are from Stampin' UP and the wording I did with JustRite letters.

Here is another red white and blue card. The sketch came from Card Patterns Sketch . The challenge at the Critter Challenge Blog was to use 10 items. My 10 are the white card, the red layer, the ribbon, 4 stars, the circle the embossed image and red patterned paper. The stamp is from Stampin' UP. The ribbon was white and I used dye ink to color it blue. The image was embossed with clear and then sponged with die ink.

Stamp Royalty Challenge #15

This is bridal shower card. The background is stamped with Versamark and then Brayered with color. This is for the Stamp Royalty Challenge. The challenge was to keep it simple. The stamp and sentiment are from Stampin' Up.

MMSC 49 and KS Crew Challenge 24

This is my card for the Midnight Madness and Kitchen Sink Challenge. The sketch came from Midnight Madness and the stamps came from Kitchen Sink. Also the challenge at Kitchen Sink was square.
Several people asked what was at the corners. It is very fine ribbon. In April VSN there was a section about bows. It said to take a piece of ribbon and tie a loose knot in it. Then take a smaller piece and feed it through this knot, then pull it tight. I then wrapped it around the corner of the card and attached the ends to the back side.

Magnolia stamp Lovers

I needed a card for a bridal shower on the weekend. I thought it might be sort of cute to use the magnolia with the umbrella. The challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers was to create a scene. Hope this fits. I sort of liked the card.

SSS51

This is my card for the Sweet Stop Challenge. On the main square I used a quilt pattern for cards that I had. The sentiment did not really show up well on the picture. It is peach colored on the card. That stamp is made by Just Rite.

Critter Challenge #8

This is my card for the Critter Challenge. The challenge was to use the sketch and gingham. I found this pretty paper in my stash and thought it would work. The stamp is from just right and colored with copic markers. I used the Technique Junkie wisped frame around the edge of the oval. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

SSS50 and Stamp Royalty #14

I won this digital stamp from The Sweet Stop. The sentiment was on the same entry. Actually this digital stamp had 4 sayings with it. The sketch came from the Sweet Stop. This is my first try at using a digital stamp. I like the fact you can make it any size. The second challenge was at Stamp Royalty and you were to use the colors Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Taken with Teal.

MMSC48

This is my card for the midnight madness Challenge. I love pansies and have had this stamp forever. The stamp says it is from the Uptown Design Company. I colored it with copic markers. I did not have really great colors for this is my stash. I think I need more copics (Wish,Wish). I did find paper in my stash that set it off well though. Enjoy!
