Mickey Mouse Birthday

This is the first birthday card I made for the little girl of my nephew.  I wanted something that had some dimension to it so this is what I settled on.  All the paper is from Paper Temptress.

The base for the card is Spirit Red Feltweave.  I wanted the base under the Mickey Mouse to have some sheen to it so that is Silver Lustre

The rest of the bright colors came from the Pop Tones Line.  This line is so great because the colors are all so vibrant.  The red for the name is Red Hot Pop Tones.  Mickey Mouse head is Black Licorice Pop Tones.  The pink for the bow is Razzleberry Pop Tones.  The Yellow is Lemondrop Pop Tones.  and the blue is Blu Raspberry Pop Tones.

Thanks for Thanksgiving

 

 

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  I guess I could have made a baby card as I am expecting a grandchild around November 27.  This is a very exciting time.

 

All the paper is from Paper Temptress. The base of this card is Golden Rod Treasures.  The beautiful second layer is Kraft Treasures.  The green layer is Grass Treasures and just the perfect color. The trunk of the tree and branches is Hot Fudge Pop Tones.  I wanted a die cut wording added so the thanks is cut from Butternut Orange Treasures.

 

It seemed the card needed a little shimmer  so the tree and Happy Thanksgiving are from Cryogen White. 



 

Simple Pleasures

 

Hello Everyone.  Happy Sunday!  Here is my card for today and all the cardstock is from Paper Temptress.

 

 The base is Neenah Super Smooth Ivory.  The sentiment and the butterflies are also from the Neenah Super Smooth Ivory.

 

The rest of the cardstock is from the Treasures line.  The golden is Butternut Orange.  All the beautiful green is Grass Treasures.  The brown is Crafty Brown.  All this cardstock has a texture to it which is beautiful for layers.



Z Box Fold

I am so excited about the cards on Split Coast Stamper the last couple of week.  I love cards that have different folds to them.  I would suggest watching the video for the because I found the written directions to be a little confusing.  I printed the directions and then added extra at places from the video. 

This is a birthday card for a little girl I know that was turning one.  The theme for her birthday party was owls.  The owl on the front has a little spring like thing behind it that makes it jiggle when you touch it. 

Halloween Twist Gate Fold

I just love different folds in cards.  This was on Split Coast Stamper last week.  It is called a Twist Gate Fold.  I did do my angle a little differently, but this is how it worked.

All the solid cardstock is from Paper Temptress.  The beautiful dark orange is Treasures Mango Orange.  The white in the center and the ghost are Cryogen White which has a little bit of shimmer to it.  Just perfect for a ghost.  The black is Black Basis.  The patterned paper was just paper that I had in my stash.

Grunge for You

This is my card for Paper Temptress today.  Got out my Stampin' Up set Gorgeous Grunge to do this card.

The base of the card is Neenah Super Smooth Green.  I thought Black Basis would be a great layer to set off the main image. The stamping for the main is image is on Cryogen White.  I just love that little bit of shimmer.

I stamped the flowers on Neenah Super Smooth Green, Baby Girl Pink Basis and Light Yellow Basis.  I still thought it needed a little sentiment so I added the For You in Baby Girl Pink Basis.

I made this card with one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets.  The stamp set is called Swirly Bird and the die set is called Swirly Scribbles.

I wanted the base to be a nice dark purple so Grape Jelly Pop Tones was perfect.  The second white layer is Cryogen White because I wanted a little bit of sheen.  I embossed this with a SU folder called softly falling.  The stamped swirls were from the Swirly Bird set.

The large swirl is Cotton Candy Pop Tones,  the medium is Blue Raspberry Pop Tones, and the small is Grapesicle Pop Tones.  I added some pearls for accent.
