Halloween Inspiration

This is a card we made on a make and take when I recently went on a scrapbook day with some other local ladies.  The tree and spooky are wooden and were painted.  Love how cute it turned out.
All of these little boxes were made from this pattern.  The little figures were from a kit I got from Papertrey Ink. These were prestamped images, but the kit includes the dies and stamps to make more.  The are made to actually fit on clothes pins.  Found these to be so cute.  They also make a Christmas set I just had to have.

Congratulations for new baby

This is a baby card for my nephew's wife.  I know it is sort of odd to be red and white, but the theme for the shower is St. Louis Cardinals. This is my post for Paper Temptress.

The base for this card , highlight for the images and sentiment is Vermillion Malermo Perle.  This gave the card a little bit of sparkle.  The images and the layer for the main images is Cryogen White.   I did pop up the images just for a little texture.  The  dotted squares  are embossed with red embossing powder.  This is a pretty simple card, but I do like the look.

Now to a new note.  Paper Temptress is starting a facebook challenge  page.  The first post starts November 10.  So keep an eye out.  The girls are putting together some great inspiration!

Sweet Treats

Well Halloween is right around the corner.  I love different little candy boxes.  The front and back of this little box is cut from Flame Mica Metallic.  The die is from Spellbinders and is the small octagons.  The orange is the largest die and the white layer is the second largest.  The white layer is Cryogen White.  The Dracula and his hands are also cut from Cryogen.  The stamps for Dracula, the hands, and the sentiment are from Papertreyink, com.   The stamps have a matching die set .  I just could not resist this set.  The spider web is from Treasures to Remember.  The tombstone is Bluestone Classic Linen.
Now I want to tell you about the box.   I used Neenah Solar White #110 for the box pieces.  This is nice and heavy and stands up well for the box. The base is 1 3/4 x 2 inches and is scored at 1/4 inch on all sides.  The little squares at the corners are cut out.
The sides are 2 x 2 3/4 inches.  These pieces are scored at 1/4 inch on both long sides.  I hope this picture helps.  I got the idea from here.

Stampscapes Mountain Scenery

I have decided that it is time to start posting on my blog again.  I don't know about challenges just yet.  All the paper in this card is from Paper Temptress and there are links to the paper.

I decided that I had not used my Stampscapes stamps from my stash for sometime.  I decided that the Cryogen White would be the perfect base for my scene.  I highlighted the stamped image with Emerald Green Linen.  You cannot see the base, but I used Neena Solar White.

The Cryogen White has a shimmer to it so it perfect for the scenery card.  The dark green highlights the water scene.

I used some chalk and some color pencils to add the color.

Fourth of July

I made some 4th of July cards to take to the assisted living where my mom is.  So much has been going on with my mom that my crafting time and inspiration was just lost.  One of the ladies there said they play Bingo and could give the cards out as prizes.  It sort of got me motivated.  Also took some other projects that I made in classes and were just sitting in the drawers.   I dug into my patterned paper for these cards.  Only a real crafter would understand my next statement.  You can't use this special paper because then when you really need it you won't have it.  In the mean time you hoard the paper forever.  Time to use it and for a good cause.

Flower Punch Board

I just wanted to post a card I made with a new punch board fro We R Memory Keepers.  It can make flowers in 3,5,7 and 9 inches.  What I thought was so cool was I could use it on a card and then make large flowers for other projects.  I used the 7 inch one on a gift bag.  It comes with a scoring tool and and a tool to curl the petals.  Another thing it can do is make leaves.
