Swirley Scribbles

Happy Sunday to everyone.  I got the beautiful die set  from Stampin' Up called swirly scribbles for my birthday.  The round die cut images in this card are from that set. All the paper is from Paper Temptress

The base card is Ivory Feltweave so it has a bit of texture to it.  All the other layers are from the Mica  Metallic line.  The dark brown layer is Bronze Mica Metallic.  The swirls are stamped on Aquamarine Mica Metallic.  The swirls are cut from Starburst Lichen Glimmer.  I wanted to add a little color that would pop so the yellow is Amber Mica Metallic. 

Lastly the sentiment is stamped on Coral Mica Metallic.

The little silver circles are called CANDI from Craft Work Cards.  The nice thing about these  are they just need a small piece of adhesive to bind to the card.



Happy 4th of july

All the red on this card is Wild Cherry Pop Tones.  I wanted my white to be shiny with some texture and the Vintage Silver Lustre definitely did the trick.  What would a 4th card be with out some more shimmer, so I used Blumarino Incadescent to bring attention to the middle.  The middle design was cut with a Cricut.

Simple Pleasures

This is sort of playful card and sort of fun to do.  The white part of this card is Solar White Classic Linen.  I took a stencil and spritzed it with water.  I then used water color crayons on it.  Once I got the colors I wanted on it I turned the stencil over onto the cardstock.  This made a wonderful base for finishing with some stamps.

The light pink layer is Pink Lemonade Pop Tones.  The blue accent layer  and the butterfly are Blue Ice Sorbet.

A Rose to say Hello

 

 

This is another card I did for Paper Temptress. 

I used a technique from Technique Junkies for this card.  It is called glossy outlines.  I stamped the flower in black and colored the image with Copic markers.  I then outlined the black lines with liquid pearls.

The base and the little banners are Cotton Candy Pop Tones.  I used  Pink Lemonade for the embossed layer.

I thought the main image would look good on Sweet Tooth Pop Tones.  The main image needed a mat to show it off so I used Jelly Bean Green Pop Tones.

This is a very easy technique and gives the main image a little pop.  Have a great day!





Lavender ATC

 

This ATC is for a swap I am in.  We had to use a napkin and the color lavender.  I used glittery modge podge to apply the napkin to the lavender card stock.

The flower was cut with my cricut. 

Fun to try and you don't have to be as intimidated because the size is only 2 1/2 x 3 1/2.



Sweet Ride

 

I made this card for a group I am in.  We were each sent multiples of the wagon image.  There are 6 of us participating.  The idea is to see what everyone comes up with.  I had a tough time getting started, but the wheels finally started turning.

I have not used a cricut in a long time and now I just can't stop.  The flowers and the pots were cut on a cricut.  I did cut out the wagon by hand, but my next project is to see if I can cut a stamped image out on the cricut.



Birthday Card for Uncle Bob

 

 

 

This is a special card for a dear uncle.  All the paper is from Paper Temptress .  I am usually a stamper for my card posts.  Several of my friends have been cutting vinyl with their Cricut machines.  Well this craft hoarder had a Cricut she never uses.  So I decided to get it out and see what I could do.  The cartridge used is All Occasion Box Cards.  I know you can do this all on your own, but it was so easy to pick the paper and press the button and let it cut.

 

The base is Light Blue Basis.  The green layer is Limeade Pop Tones.   It seemed like Gold Basis would make the layers pop.  The tag on the front is Cotton Candy Basis and Teal Basis is the background and the clouds (I did apply some white ink to tone them down a little.)  The red plane and banner are Wild Cherry Pop Tones.

 

Will definitely be trying this again.  It does fold flat so that it can be mailed
