Make it Monday #87

This was my post for the Paper Temptress today.  For this card the base card is from Bright White Matte Kote. The orange layer is Mango Orange Treasures. The blue layer is Pool Treasures. The stamp pad I used throughout the project was a varigated pad to give some depth to the stamping. The yellow layer is Lemon Yellow Treasures. The final addition is the Reversible Satin.  I thought it would be perfect for the Make it Monday this week and let some of this great paper shine.

CAS-ual Friday #49

Trying to play along with CAS-ual Friday on a regular basis.  I really just like the plain and simple style.  My card for this week used some new dies from Memory Box.  The small vellum flowers were cute with a punch.  I just love dies.

Midnight Madness #137, DYSU #68 and Make it Monday #86

The sketch for this card came from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  Also wanted to add this card to the challenge at Do You Stack Up.  The challenge there was stripes.  And finally I was going to add to the challenge at Make It Monday.   The image was stamped with Memento ink and colored with copic markers.  The stamp I used is from Magenta.

Make it Monday #85

Was working at the stamp/gift shop this weekend and this is one of the card samples that I made.  Getting ready to go out of town and wanted to get a couple of posts made before I leave as I won't be doing anymore this week.  Here is my card for the Make it Monday challenge this week. On the main image you cover the image with glue from a glue stick and then crumple tissue paper and apply it.  I love how it softens the image

CAS-ual Friday #48

Getting ready to go out of town and want to get a couple of cards posted.  The challenge at CAS-ual Friday was to use colors from opposite sides on the color wheel.  I just happened to have the blue cut outs and the butterfly on my desk and that would work, so here is my card.

My Paper Temptress Post

This is my post for the Paper Temptress blog.  I know I have said this before but I just love texture. I was thinking about my post and looking at things on the internet. I was on pinterest and found the inspiration for this card. I used two colors from the Treasures line. I have used Butternut and Mango Orange. I also used wonderful squares and stiches ribbon from Paper Temptress.

Make it Monday #84

I got a new Stampin' Up set and punch so I thought I would see what I could do with it.  The set is called Gnome Sweet Gnome.  I used a stylus and waxed paper and put the pattern on the dress and then colored it with colored pencils.  This set is a little bit out of my box, but that is why I wanted to try it.

CAS-ual Friday #47

The challenge at CAS-ual Friday this week was to make a card with  an image of something that would be in an Easter basket.  The stamp I used is an old Stampin' Up one.  You stamp the bag and then stamp the pieces of candy.  I had to do some masking as each piece of candy is stamped individually.  I also added some stickles to the bag and some glitter embossing powder to the pieces of candy.

Digital image

I am not really much of a digital image person, but I saw this one and just loved it.  It is from Bugaboo.  A girl at work was having a baby and this image was just perfect.  I printed and colored the image and then took it to Walmart.  They scanned my image and put it on the cake. I was in bit of a hurry when coloring and didn't realize the scan would pick up every pencil mark.  So the next time I would be a little more careful.  I love the results though and everyone at work loved it. I am seeing the benefit in digital stamps.  You need no storage space in your room and you can size them however you like.

Make it Monday #83 and Party Time Tuesday #62

Haven't had a lot of time in the craft room this week, but went through my stored pictures and found this one.  It is a card I made as a sample at the stamp store and gift shop that I work at once a month.  I am going to enter the card on Make it Monday and Party Time Tuesday where the theme was flowers. The flowers on this image are from Memory Box.  I love this stamp because the greenery is on the front of the stamp and the little flower is on the side.  So you can add the flower where ever you want.

CFC #46

The challenge at CAS-ual Friday was to make a card based on a song.  I listen to the radio everyday on the way to work and did not know the name of any of the songs.  I finally went on Google and searched songs about flowers being I thought I could pull that off.  The song I found was The Rose by Bette Midler.  I colored with rose with colored pencils.  The border at the bottom is made from a technique from Technique Junkies called Double Ruffle.
