Make it Monday #116

Well I am trying to get in the Christmas Spirit.  What did we ever do without Spellbinder dies and fancy punches.  (Which by the way I am totally addicted to).  Love this little snowman.  This is my card for Make it Monday this week.

Make it Monday #115

This is another one of my Paper Temptress posts. A while back I saw the most adorable You-tube video using a small battery powered tealight. I did change mine slightly because I used a Spellbinders die. I will say it would have been easier to use a punch like in the video. The base of the card is Blumarino Incadescent. I don’t think you can even imagine the great sheen this paper has. The white is Cryogen. The blue is Periwinkle Treasures. The small blue striped piece is Laser Silver Lustre. I used some distress ink on it to give it the blue color. The image was stamped on white iridescent vellum. The image is embossed. This vellum can work without warping. You just have to be sure and not over heat it.
The beautiful bow is white ribbon that you pull a string and it scrunches together. The scene and wording at the top are from a new Gina K stamp set called City of David. This is my entry for Make it Monday this week

Make it Monday #114

I need to make some baby shower invitations for my daughter, so here is what I came up with.  I used the technique junkie technique called In the Middle.  I just love the stamp set from Hero with all the little baby things and it worked perfectly for my card.  This is my entry this week for Make it Monday.

Party Time Tuesday #92

The challenge at Party Time Tuesday was anything goes.  This was my Paper Temptress post on Monday. So all the links are links to cardstock that Paper Temptress sells.  I found a new technique on Technique Junkies called distress stain dip. You put distress stain on a craft mat and spritz it with alcohol. You then dip the paper into it. The technique called for 3 colors. I only had two that seemed to go together. I decided to try the HQ Cotton Watercolor Paper. This paper is nice and thick and gives the front a sort of texture. I edged this piece with Encore Copper Ink. The brown layer is Basis Brown. The base card is Gold Basis. The tag at the bottom is Butternut Treasure. The die cut was cut from Neenah Solar White. The die cut image was colored with Copic Markers. I also added a little sparkle with Stickles.
