Make it Monday #73

Here is a card I made for a recent swap.  The technique is called Black Magic.  You stamp in white on a dark color and then use colored pencils to color part of the image. I' m using this for my Make it Monday entry. Started looking at this post and realized I put this card in the Make it Monday challenge last week.  Sorry.  So I added another card to the post that I did not use.

Just Us Girls #120

This is my project for my Paper Temptress post this week.  So I guess you can figure that all the paper and the ribbon came from Paper Temptress.  The challenge at Just Us Girls was to use the colors red, white and pink. I wanted to try something a little different with a sort of Valentine theme. I was looking through my notebooks and found the Corner Bookmark pattern from Split Coast Stampers. I also had a new heart punch from Martha Stewart that I really wanted to use. The red background for this card is the Rosso Incandescent. The pink is the Mountain Rose Glimmer and all the white is the Neenah Solar White. The pattern paper in the middle is actually white paper that I stamped with a Cover-a-card background stamp from Impression Obsession called Rose Lace. I love the Cover-a-card backgrounds because I can make my background paper in whatever color matches my project. I colored the rose with copic markers. Also I almost forgot the beautiful red ribbon. I think it is the Burgandy Metallic Mesh. It does look a little different in real life and I find it to be more of a red, but it makes beautiful bows. Sometimes I need all the help I can get on my bows.

Makeover Monday

Here is my card for the Makeover Monday Challenge this week.  I punched all my flowers out of tissue paper and then layered them.  The example I saw was from CardMaker magazine and one of their features in the March issue is different sorts of flowers that you can make.  This one used crepe paper, but since I didn't have any I used tissue paper.

Party Time Tuesday #51

I just got done with this card for my mother-in-law.  We are going to have lunch tomorrow for her birthday.  The challenge at Party Time Tuesday is Birthday so this works perfectly. The stamp set is from Inky Antics and on the inside of the card has a cupcake made from honeycomb paper.  I also stamped the patterned paper using a large cover a card stamp from Impression Obsession.  I love the cover a card stamps because I can make my paper any color to match my project.

Make it Monday #72

This is a card I made for a Yahoo swap and I thought it would be good for the Make it Monday Challenge.  You stamp the card with white pigment ink and when it is dry add color with color pencils.  I really love the lacey look.

DYSU #54 and CFC#35

This is my card for two challenges.  The first is Do You Stack Up.  The challenge there was to use pink.  The second is for Casual Friday and the challenge there was to use scallops.  This is a card I made for a friend that just had their first grandchild.  I guess you can figure that it was a little girl.

Make it Monday #71

It has been a while since I posted any cards.  Need to get back into posting.  Here is my card for the Make It Monday post this week.  I was working at a local gift shop/stamps store last weekend and needed to make some valentine cards.  This is one that I came up with.  The stamp is from Penny Black.  I just love this stamp.  I stamped it in a lighter shade so that I could add the wording in a darker color.

Double Dutch Fold

I saw a new fold on Splitcoast Stampers called the Double Dutch Fold. I am trying to get out of the rut of the traditional shaped card and try some new things. The stamp and saying for this card is from Viva Las Vegastamps. All the Paper is from Paper Temptress.  I used several papers from the Glimmer Line. I just love the sheen in these papers. I used the Juniper Berry Glimmer. Mountain Rose Gliimer, and the Starburst Lichen Glimmer. The stamping was done on Neenah Supersmooth Ivory. The image was colored with colored pencils
