Fourth of July

I made some 4th of July cards to take to the assisted living where my mom is.  So much has been going on with my mom that my crafting time and inspiration was just lost.  One of the ladies there said they play Bingo and could give the cards out as prizes.  It sort of got me motivated.  Also took some other projects that I made in classes and were just sitting in the drawers.   I dug into my patterned paper for these cards.  Only a real crafter would understand my next statement.  You can't use this special paper because then when you really need it you won't have it.  In the mean time you hoard the paper forever.  Time to use it and for a good cause.

Flower Punch Board

I just wanted to post a card I made with a new punch board fro We R Memory Keepers.  It can make flowers in 3,5,7 and 9 inches.  What I thought was so cool was I could use it on a card and then make large flowers for other projects.  I used the 7 inch one on a gift bag.  It comes with a scoring tool and and a tool to curl the petals.  Another thing it can do is make leaves.

Flowers are sending smiles

Hi all, this is Vickie.  I love the brown pink combo, so here we go.  The base for this card is Earthstone Classic Linen.  The cream color is just beautiful and add the little bit of linen texture and it is perfect.  The brown layer also came from the linen line and is Chocolate Truffle.  I embossed the brown layer and added a little ink to highlight the pattern.  The flowers are Mountain Rose Glimmer.  I stamped on this cardstock with Stazon because otherwise it will smear.  The leaves also have a bit of glimmer and they were done with Emeraude Malermo Perle.

Spring Flowers

I have not been great at posting lately.  I used to search for challenges to enter.  I just don't have the time right now, so I decided to just post anything that I have done.  I love pinterest and saw something similar there.

Quirky Craft Challenges #4

My grandson just turned one and I wanted the perfect birthday card.  I wanted a lot of color and decided the perfect cardstock was the pop tones series.  I could get every color I was looking for.  The pattern for the pop box came from Split Coast Stampers.  I did my best to show all the sides of the box.  The base for the box was the Spirit Red Feltweave.  I wanted a little texture.  The sides of the box are Bannana SplitBerrylicious, Gumdrop Green, Lemondrop, Limeade, Orange Fizz and Whip Cream Pop Tones.  I also used the Heavy duty clear Vellum to make the pieces move in the middle of the box.  You can get every color of the Pop Tones Cardstock here.  All the cute truck stamps are from a company I found on Amazon called Flonz.  The online shop is www. flonxcraft.com.

Make it Monday #175

This is a gift card holder for a girl I work with.  This is such an awesome story.  She has been trying to get pregnant for a number of years.  One of the fertility treatments made her extremely ill.  About 8 months ago her sister-in-law came forward and said she would carry the baby for them.  The baby is due February 14.

Make It Monday #173

I was planning my post for Paper Temptress and trying to find a design that moved me.  I love Pinterest and saw a card that had different colored hearts on it.  With all the wonderful colors in the Basis line I thought this was perfect. The base for the card is Red Basis.  The white layer with the dots embossed is Cryogen White.  The colors for the hearts are Teal, Light Blue ,Red,  and Purple Basis.  I did use a heart embossing folder on the hearts instead of the dots. The ribbon is ribbon I had in my stash. Thought it would work for Make It Monday.
