This was my post for
Paper Temptress this week. I though it would be perfect for
Make it Monday. I was on Stamp TV last week and saw the technique called Color on Color Emboss Resist. It looked so cool I just had to try it. I used
Cryogen White for my base. So even though you can't see it in the photograph it does have some shimmer to it. I used a sponge dauber to apply color. The ink I used was dye ink.
Once this was dry I rubbed an antistatic bag over it and stamped my image with VersaMark. I then applied clear embossing powder to the piece of cardstock. I then used my heat gun to emboss the images.
I then applied a darker color to the whole piece with another sponge dauber. This piece was mounted on
Basis Aqua. The main image was also stamped on Cryogen White and colored with colored pencils. This image was highlighted with Distress Broken China which matches the Basis Aqua just perfectly. This image was mounted on
Basis Burgundy The cording at the bottom was just white and I used the distress ink with a sponge to apply color. I know Paper Temptress has some beautiful white ribbon so remember you can always color it. I did use some foam mounting tape for the background piece and the main flower image.
