Critter #115 and Totally Gorjuss #131

This is a technique from Technique called Copic Colored Embossing.  It was supposed to be done on black, but I didn't have any nice black cardstock so I used dark brown.  You stamp your image in white pigment ink and emboss with white embossing power.  You then color the image with copic markers.   The challenge at Critter was flowers.  The challenge at Totally Gorjuss was to use Pink and green .

Make it Monday 89

This is another post with the wonderful Paper Temptress paper.I needed a wedding card for my daughter's best friend. I thought this would work for my Make it Monday post this week.  The base for this card is the Neenah Solar White. The colors for the wedding are green, white and black. The beautiful green is Olive Basis. The black accent has a little texture to it and is Black Felt Grandee. I was loooking for the perfect ribbon and the 3/8 " Reversible Satin Ribbin with stitches in Black and Silver worked perfectly.

Make it Monday #88

This is my entry for Make It Monday this week.  I love the watercolor look.  You are supposed to color the stamp with markers and then use a dampened brush to give a watercolor look.  I needed a little more definition than that so I stamped with Stazon and then took the color from the marker with a water pen. I found the background paper in my stash.  I think I made it in a class at some time.

Do You Stack Up #70 and Critter #113

The design for this card come from the sketch at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.  I also wanted to use this card for the challenge at Do You Stack up.  The challenge there was circles, which fit perfectly with the sketch.  I am not one that typically goes for these bright colors, but this one just seemed to fall into place.  I also just got the new Tim Holtz distress markers and was dying to try them.

Totally Gorjuss #130

The challenge at Totally Gorjuss this week was to use a sketch.    I found some paper in my stash that worked.  I was doing a blog hop this week and saw the idea of doing a punch and then putting words in the punched hole.  I thought it was a wonderful idea.

CAS-ual Friday #51

The theme at CAS-ual Friday this week is Birthday.  It is their first Birthday.  I was doing a blog hop today and saw a card where they punched an image out and then put words behind it.  I thought it was a cute idea, so here is what I made.

CAS-ual Friday #50

Here is my card for the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week.  The theme was flowers or trees.  I have been wanting to try this technique and thought this would be a good time.  You stamp on glossy paper, color with white crayon and then brayer on the color.  It gives an interesting look.  I think I will try this one again.
