Mother's Day Card

This is a Mother's Day card for a friend of mine at work.  It is going to be from his dog to his wife.  It says the dog is very verble and that is why the RH... rh is stamped in the background.  Also the dog slings druel around and that is why I added diamond glaze like druel.  Not a traditional card, but it sort of fits.

Do You Stack Up #18

The challenge at Do You Stack Up is purple.  I had this background on my desk and thought it would work.  The stamps used are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry.  The two cut pieces were done with s Spellbinders set.  The white cord around the edge came from Paper Temptress

Stamp Something with wings

I had to make to 3 ATC's with birds. The challenge at Stamp Something was that the project had something with wings.

MMSC #101

The challenge at Technique Junkies this week was white on white. I have never really tried this, but the look is very elegant. I just got this new embossing folder from Sizzix. I love embossing folders. The sketch for this design came from the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge

New tags

Here are some tags for one of my Yahoo Swaps. The one on the left was supposed to use a sort of grunge look and the other one was to use pastel colors

Party Time Tuesday #13

This si a new challenge site for me. It is called Party Time Tuesday. The Chalenge is anything goes. This card is also for the Try it Thursday challenge at Technique Junkies. The card I made uses the technique folded pocket. The background paper is made from Paper Temptress paper. The yellow is Basis light Yellow, the darker yellow has sparkle and is Solar Yellow Pearlescent, the background paper was made on Bright white Matt coat and the flower is stamped on Cotton Watercolor.
The background is called Millefiori. I stamped the circles in two coordinating oranges. The green flower is stamped next and then the black flower. All the stamps are from Stampin' Up.

MMSC #100 and SR #68

The technique to try this week for Technique Junkies is Dry Embossed Wash. I used this technique on the background pieces on this card. The sketch for this card came from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The middle image is a technique from Stamp TV called embossed marble. This card is also going to the challenge at Stamp Royalty. The challenge there was to use watercoloring on your card. The dry embossed wash uses watercolor crayons and a water pen to do the background. The images is embossed, colored with the waterbrush and crayons and then coated with gesso. Also I have just become a member of the design team at Paper Temptress so the paper used in this card came from Paper Temptress. I used Blue Ice Sorbet, Purple Basis and Pink Basis for the background and matting.
